Real Tournament Value in the First Season of the West Coast Bass Series
Launching a Season Built on Real Tournament Value
The first season of the West Coast Bass Series (WCBS) marks a major step forward for Western bass anglers who want fairness, transparency, and Real Tournament Value. When we designed this schedule, we focused on delivering an experience that puts anglers first. With a $400 entry fee for every event, simple sign-ups that close the night before, and no pre-tournament meetings, the entire structure is built for convenience and value. This first season sets the foundation for what WCBS aims to deliver: a professional, streamlined tournament trail that rewards anglers for showing up and competing hard.

A Schedule Designed Around Real Tournament Value
This year’s trail features five events, each chosen for its fishery, accessibility, and competitive potential. Every stop offers its own style of fishing, which ensures a balanced and exciting season.
Lake Shasta — January 10
We open at Lake Shasta, one of the most consistent winter fisheries in the West. Its deep structure and spotted bass population create a true test of skill. Starting here gives anglers a fair, competitive kickoff to the season and sets the tone for the year of Real Tournament Value ahead.

Clear Lake — March 8
Clear Lake in early spring is legendary. Big fish, shallow water, and explosive bites give anglers an event where anything can happen. This stop showcases what WCBS is all about—high-value events on world-class fisheries.
Lake Berryessa — April 20
Berryessa is a diverse fishery with clear water, deep structure, and both largemouth and smallmouth opportunities. April is prime time, and this event rewards anglers who can adapt. It also reinforces our mission to provide Real Tournament Value through strong fields and premium venues.
California Delta — June 3
The Delta brings tidal water, vegetation, and big-fish potential. Early June offers perfect grass growth and active bass. This stop brings strategy and power fishing together in a way that defines the West Coast. It’s an essential part of delivering a full, competitive season.
Don Pedro — TBD (TOC)
We will finalize the Tournament of Champions date soon, but Don Pedro is already locked in as the location. Known for big fish and deep-water decision making, it’s the ideal lake to host anglers who earned their way into the TOC. With its high stakes and exclusive field, this event brings the highest level of Real Tournament Value to the season.
A Simple, Angler-Focused Format
WCBS keeps things clean. Entry fees are straight-forward at $400 per event. Sign-ups stay open until the night before each tournament, giving anglers maximum flexibility. And with no pre-tournament meetings, anglers avoid hassle and unnecessary travel. Everything we do supports our mission: make competitive fishing easier, more transparent, and more valuable for every participant.
A Season That Sets a New Standard
The first season of the West Coast Bass Series brings together convenience, fairness, and Real Tournament Value in every event. From Shasta to Don Pedro, anglers can expect strong payouts, great competition, and a trail built for them—not against them. This is the beginning of something bigger, and we’re excited to grow it alongside the anglers who make it possible.
